announce that the Carnegie Free Li
brary will ,be open to the public on
Tuesday, evening, April 10, at 8 o'clock.
We have quite an accumulation of new
books, additional to tliqpe acquired
from the old library, and while we
have not In hand, by any means, all
the new books, our management de
cided not to delay the opening on that
account. The new books will continue
to cpme In as rapidly as orders can be
forwarded. V
We hope to have a good attendance
at the opening, and the hearty co
operation of our people In this enter
prise. Printed copies of the rules gov
erning the library will be available.

the local public, which has been for
several weeks anxiously awaiting no
tice of the formal opening of the Car
negie Library.
The work of preparing accurate rec
ords of all the volumes In the library,
and arranging for the conduct of the
institution In the most satisfactory
manner, has been in progress for some
time, and Is now in such shape that
announcement of the formal opening
Is made as above.
It Is probable that the attendance at
the formal opening on Tuesday even
ing will be large, as the people of Al
bany; are greatly Interested in the new
library. It will be a model institution,
conducted In a manner to leave noth
ing to be desired, and will be a bless
ing to the people of the community
who have a literary inclination.
