The Practical Side of
Plumbing'.
gs
m
:-,r,
H
Plumbing guarantees the removal from the house
and premises where it has been installed of filth and
refuse.
/■Where there is no plumbing, the filth is thrown.in
to the yard or alley. It sinks into the ground, where
it breeds nauseating odors and myriads of dangerous
germs of disease.
H .Therefore, as a practical proposition, regardless of
all considerations of comfort and convenience, plumb
ing pays. It savetf doctor’s bills. It makes health
ful conditions where sickness has been prevalent.
' Summer is at hand.
V; Can you take the risk of being without plumbing
lit your home during the heated term? The question
answers itself.
See us about the details.

Savannah, Qa„ April 28.—Two Sa

away on peaceful missions this week
and have returned with stories of be

Chatham Artillery, which went to Al

sound and with stories to tell of a
good time. Capt. Dixon Is particularly
enthusiastic over the trip.
The First regiment of Infantry that
went to Waynesboro for Memorial
Day report a most pleasant visit: Col.
Gordon was very much pleased with
the reception accorded Ills officers and

of the commands gets an opportunity
to again visit either of these places
that tho Invitation will be accepted.

In view of the port that electricity
plays In our modern life It Is nmuBlng
to recall that when Benjamin Franklin
evolved the lightning conductor lie was
called to account by ccrtuln Individuals
for sacrilege lu “attempting to divert
the Almighty’s lightning.”
Restaurant proprietors and hoarding
house keepers have apparently over
looked a valuable hint which Dr. Frank
lin ulTordcd them, us follows: He took
an undent rooster and killed It by a
powerful shock from one of his Leyden
Jnrs. When subsequently tho bird was
served at his table “Its flesh was found
to be as tender as thnt of n young par

the discoveries which should make the
name-of Franklin forever honored.—

Tasmanian Girls.
For many years Tasmania has been

elicited in evidence at an official In

barmaids command double the ordi

“Dixie” Mosquito Frame and Net.
The "DIXIE" frame is the only perfectly tempered frame sold. It
preserves its temper and elasticity through the years. It does not
bend or get out of shape and refuse to fold. Put one up properly and
intakes your net back and folds it gracefully and perfectly, so that you
do not have to fan out the mosquitoes and the Hies when It Is let down.
We have sold them for years, and the years have brought us increased
business on them. And we are the only people from whom they can
be obtained in this town.
THE “CLIMAX” PULLEY NET, made by the
Dixie people, is also without a peer in its class.
We are ready to supply your demand for these
goods, and there is no better time for this work than
the present. .
