HOLD MEETING
And Assist Unfortunates of Their Race
Out of Town.

Savannah, Ga., May 11.—The H. G.
H. Society, an organization composed
of Jewish people, held a meeting last
night to assist twenty of their race
out of town. The meeting was well
attended. It was held at the syna
gogue of congregation. B. B. Jacob.
These are not the first people this
society has helped home recently.
There seems to be a great deal of
shipping of ignorant people to the
South with the idea that they are to
be given work, and when they get here
they are not adapted to, physically
they are not adapted, either physically
or by experience. Savannah has had
a great deal of trouble with this class
nt people this- winter and spring. It
was formerly the rule of the city to
help them get back North, but they
have come in too great numbers re
cently for that.
