Savannah, May 25.—The Savannah
Veterans are preparing to observe the
birthday of Jefferson Davis. As the
anniversary falls on Sunday the ob
servance will take place on the night
of Monday, June 4. The children of
the Confederacy will have part In the
program and there'wlll he an address
by a prominent veteran.
After several wettings the folks
think twice before venturing out to the
ball park.
The river will probably not get very
high, there not having been much rain
further up the state.
