NOT BE DECEIVED
The only genuine
“POI-IEIVIIAIN EXPORT BEER,”
is made by the Acme Brewing Co., of Macon. “Export Bohemian Beer,” offered by some local dealers as the genuine Bohemian Export, is made
by a mythical brewery, and is a cheap imitation. There is no Bohemian Brewery Co., of St. Louis, but there is a little brewery over in Montgomery
that is evidently ashamed to put out its products under its real name. The Bohemian. Brewing Company, of St. Louis, is iust another naine for this
little Montgomery brewery. It’s a scheme to deceive the public. ,Do not be deceived. Iusist on the geniue “Bohemian Export Beer**'

SAID ABOUT ALBANY.
From the Moultrie Observer.
Albany Is going to have a street-car
line to Atlanta. The Herald says so;
or quotes a citizen of Albany who says
so. It may be a scheme to bluff the
railroads Into building a decent depot.
From the Griffin News.
A dispatch from Albany yesterday
convinced that the Atlanta, Grilfin &
Macon Intel-urban Railway Is pretty
certain to be built.
From the Moultrie Observer.
. Albany didn't get an appropriation
for her federal building, but Albany
will continue to build with home
money. It is now one of the most
prosperous towns of this section, be
cause home capital Is being invested
at home.
GAS LIGHT CO.
AGREES TO RAISE
TAX RETURNS.
Comptroller-General Wright Persuades
Atlanta Company That Its Figures
Are Too Low by $175,000.
Special to The Herald,
Atlanta, Ga„ May 31.—At the sug-.
gestlon of the comptroller-general and
to save the long tiresome' work and
expense of an arbitration board, the
Atlanta Gas Light Company has raised
Its tax returns .for 1906 from $725,000
to $900,000, an Increase of $175,000
over the original returns. Two yearB
ngo the value of the company’s fran
chise was fixed by arbitration. At
that time the value of the tangible
property was returned to the tax col
lector, but since the lnw has been
amended, thus making these returns
returnable to the comptroller. On the
Increase just given In by the gas com,
shows t-hat-the people down there arej|]$& of the amount goeS to
the franchise, malting the total valua
tion of the same $275,000. The In
crease on tangible property Is $126,000.
Although the comptroller-ghneral sug
gested that the whole returns ought
to be $1,000,000, he' Is disposed to
meet the company half way, and will
accept their final figures of $900,000.
He is hopeful that most of the other
corporations whose returns he regards
as too low, can be persuaded to make
increases without the trouble of an
arbitration board

Both are prepared for use through processes in

months and months, until the beer is ripe beyond possibility
of biliousness, and as a final precaution, every bottle is ster
