NEW YORK COTTON LETTER.
(By WI re to Clark & Co. I
New Orleans, June 1.
Liverpool was remarkably quiet.
Options were lower from 1 to 3 points
than Thursday’s close, and spot sales
continue excellent in volume, today's
transactions amounting to 10,000 bales,
the old quotations being reduved 6
points.
The heavy liquidation- that has of
late been observed seems to have run
Its course, or at least the weaker ele
ment appears to have been shaken out
for today’s market was comparatively
dull with business on an exceedingly
small scale. All Interest In the market
has ceased pending the government
report Monday.
Numerous Individual estimates of
acreage and condition have been pub
lished today, but have excited little
more than passing comment. The re
duction In supplies continues, but is
less than anticipated on liccount of fhe
continued free receipts.
The Bombay movement published
today shows a further decline in re
ceipts of 20,000 bales over last year
and shipments are greater than the
previous year for the same period By a
few thousand bnles and this taken in
connection with tho larger consump
tion, tends to the belief that the visible
statement this afternoon will not pos
sess any particularly bearish features.
Yours truly,
GIBERT & CLAY.
There Isn't much difference In the
looks of the bottles and labels of “Bo
hemian Export Beer,” made by the
Acme Brewing Co., of Mncon, nnd
“Export Bohemian Beer," tho cheap
Imitation, made by tho mythical Bo
hemian Brewing Co., of Sf. Louis. But
there Is n world of difference in the
qualities of the beers—just tlmt differ
ence between the genuluo nnd a cheap
Imitation. Insist on getting the gen
