Albany will have no kick coming as
to ball on the Fourth.
In view of the fact that the teams
will play in Albany, and after the
management has conceded to the
pleasure of the fans, it is most likely
that the largest crowd of the season
will witness the games on the Fourth.
The two teams are evenly matched
and a tight and interesting game can
hut occur.

Albany Win6 at 'Columbus.
Columbus, June 21,—Albany played
some ball yesterday. Nine hits, seven
runs. Yesterday afternoon defeated
the Columbus team with a score 'of 7
to 4. Posey pitched a great game and
broke into bis bad streak of luck that
seems to have run about the limit
with him. Albany showed up well
und the team did good work all around.
The game was veyy well attended and
in view of the fact that the Columbus
team left the city almost immediately
after the game ~was over for Its new
home in Brunswick, the 1 fanB turned
out well.

“Under Two Flags,” a drama of
great reputation and merit, will be
given in Albany in the near future by
an amateur company. The plcfy in it
self is peculiarly adapted to the use of
amateurs, and it is needless to even
suggest that Albany’s talent can give
a splendid production. Its reputation
that has been justly made stands out
in a telling manner.
The cast has not been fully made as
yet, but with the dramatis personae of
the play, numbering fifteen, the dra
matic talent In the city will fiave^a
good chance to make evident its ex
cellence.
The play will he for a benefit, and
several negotiations are on for the
play, but up to the present time there
has been no definite arrangements
made along that score.
Mr. Herman Strauss will most likely
be in charge of the production. Mr.
Strauss has brought out several times,
successfully, plays in Albany, and it
1b safe to say that ’’Under Two Flags”
will prove, under his direction, an ex
cellent and successful venture.

A Double-Header on the Fourth.
Several overtures have been made
in the past few clays by Moultrie to
the management of the Albany and
Cordele baseball clubs to secure the
game for the Fourth of July fQr Moul
trie. ' The Moultrie populace, it seems,
will have a very elaborate celebration
on the Fourth, barbecues and other
sources of amusement, and they are
desirous of getting A first-class base
ball game also. The two clubs, Al
bany and Cordele,. were offered $500
for their services on that day.
Five hundred dollars looked like a
big thing to the management, but after
lengthy and deliberate consideration
it was decided to turn down the offer
and give the Albany people the pleas
ure of seeing a game on the Fourth.
There will be a double-header on
that day, one in the morning and the
regular afternoon game. The fans of
