the rain continues the chances are

Mrs. Mack Nelson and her little
child oi Sumach died on last Thurs
day and both were buried in
same grav9 at Summerour’s chapel
on Friday.

James A Dickson, while working
in the shop, last week, received an
ugly gasb by a sharp piece of iron
striking him just over the eye. It
bled pro'asly, and it was some time
before the blood could be stopped.
A L Davis of Gaisevill Fla., for¬

A Good Man Gone.
Again another good man has
been called from this, to the realms
beyond. Mr. Green Cain an aged
gentleman of Pleasant Valley was
called home on last Thursday morn
ing, after an ’'iness. of a few days.
Mr Cain was a good citizen, and his
departure will be grieved by many.

has appointed the 29th, 30th and

tion ol applicants for license to
teach. All persons desiring to make

the court bouse in Spring Place on

The report of the U S commiss¬
ioner of Agriculture shows that in
Georgia tne principal supplies
bought on credit are bacon, lard,
flour, hay and fertilizers. Com
worth 7(1 cents cash is sold at 99
cents payable Nov. 1st, bacon worth
8 cents is sold for 10 5, and 50 per
cent is given as a reasonable aver¬
age of the psofits charged. The
amount of indebtedness is thought
to be lass than for any previous
time in the last five years. God
hasten the time when every faimer
shall be free from the thralldom of
the debt curse

June, Commencing at two o'clock

bers of said Lodge, in good stand¬
ing, are cordially invited to be
