Dear Sir:— l am this morning in receipt of your favour of the 18th instant, requesting io have some of the Bahn sent out to your State as soon as possible. Such is the pressing demand in every section, that I have, as vet, not been able to supply the orders that have been some time on hand. I have had an order from Au gusta, Georgia, and Savannah, since last win ter, and only last week sent one groce to each place. Dr. E. R. Calhoun, of South Carolina, has contracted for that Stale and Gem-git, and 1 have shipped to him near live (human I hot ties, all that 1 could spare. As soon as 1 can, I will send him more; but when, I cannot sav, as I must divide it as well as 1 can, until 1 can sup ply each State fully. 1 willdomysi 11 the pleas ure of requesting Dr. Calhoun to establish au i- ■ gency at youi office as soon as oilier engage meiits will allow. I have been putting up near ly two thousand per day, and now find mvsell in want of about fifty thousand for immediate use, and have not fifteen bottles, but what are i packed up for shipment. From the present de mand, 1 should not lx? surprised, if it were to take five hundred thousand bottles a year to sup- ; ply the demand. Yours respectfullv, &c. 11. B. MONTAGUE. ADDI riONAL CERTIFICATES. Albemarle, April, 1836. Dear Sir:— \\ e suppose you like good news, particularly when y.«u arc mostly interested. : We have but two bottles left of the box of Balm ; you sent us. You can draw at sight for .8 , 1 which we believe will be the amount, after de- i ducting commission and expenses We will | thank you to send to our friends, Messrs. * * ♦, i of Richmond, by first conveyance, a double box, : which you will put at your wholesale price, for I which you can also draw on ns. It has failed I io two instances in this neighborhood, hut one oi j the persons that we have seen, thinks it was (with him) rheumatism, as he had the tooth ) drawn, and the pain still continued. Several persons have used it, with defective ! gums, or scurvy, anti are so much delighted with ; it, that we are charged to keep asnpplv. The I ladies are using it with the tooth-brush, and say [ that it is the best thing for the teeth and gums I they have ever used. We are glad, for the sake of the sufferers, as well as on your account, I that this remedy is not only not of Northern or- ! igin, (from whence all the patent nostrums I come,) but is a Virginia preparation, and bv a Virginian. Nor does ii detract from its ellicaf v, | on account of the place of its preparation, (Pe tersburg,) once styled by Mr. Jefferson, the “cockade of America.” It seems to us, that all you now have to do, is to see to it, that you keep a supply sufficient for the demand—for if it sells elsewhere a» it has done here, there will he no end to the demand. Several merchants of my acquaintance, mean to send for a box. Allow us to congratulate you, and the public, i* the discovery and use of the only remedy (ex cept drawing) for tooth-ache, that has yet been discoverL’d. Respectfully sours, R. R. JtT. T. G. lll’M IM. TON, | near Cabin Point, 2Lh M irclt. | Dear Sir: I bought a bottle of your Balm I from Messrs. , in Pelersburg, in Fehrna- l ry, chiefly because 1 had a servant who had suffered most exrnitiatint’iy for some m nubs. We had tried all the remedies which w re in our reach ; an attempt was made to ex t tet the I tooth, but broke it off. I caused the Bdm tn ! be used after warming it in a cup—this w t- rc- I peated with a second spoonful, when she vas entirely relieved. The next night she came for ' more, saying that a tooth on the other side I ached, and also requested some for her hush and who, she said, had been suffering with tin s nite I disease for some weeks, I cheerfully ,-ave it, and the next day on inquiry found th it both wen relieved. One of my ii”iglihori of h'gh respii- | lability sent tome for some for his wife. | I have this 'lay seen him, an I he assures nu- that it afforded immediate relief, an I there ff.i bin > rireturn ; before she suffered almost ' onstt.ii ly,and could not bear to I-1 col l w ttet tom h tire tooth, and for two nights previous to the ap plication, she had not been able to sleep scarce ly at all. Now she has no ini onvenience li on cold water or anything else th it comes in (<hi tai’t with the tooth. The night before It:' he used some with one of his own men, w ith the same success, and says if be could It ivi have h i ' litis remedy fifteen years ago, and kn iw i i s e - icy, he would willtn dy h ive given a h et I ■ d dollars for it.
