JACKSON HALL.—The subscriber tenders his thanks
to his friends and the public generally. for ’ho liberal pat
-11 ■! t ronaje they have heretofore extended to him; and hopes by
the attention ol him-elt and family to merit a continuance
of their support. He has doubled the size of his Dining Room, so as
to be able to accommodate nearly twice as many at the first table as
he could at the last session of the Legislature, ami added three more
Rooms to Ins establishment, which will enable him to supply lai-'e '
Rooms for large Counties.
Ho has also added largely to his Stables, which will be strictly at- l
tended to. His fare shall be the best the country affords, and as usual,
the term* moderate.
TRY LNCLE SAM AGAIN.at his Old Stand.
He will also take a few monthly or yearly Boarders and Fam
ilies, during the summer.
He else tenders himself to the Legislature, ns a candidate for COMP
TROLLER GENERAL, nt the next Session.

7WT EWEST A B LIS H M ENT.—The stand formerly occupied ,
Jl.w by Mr. John H. Ware, and recently by Mr. J. Doles, in
this city, has been fitted up and furnished at considerable expense, and ;
is now open to customers. In the arrangement of the establishment,
the Confectionary department is entirely sepcrate and distinct from i
the Bar and Billiard Room. To this arrangement the attention of I
the Ladies of Milledgeville and the County adjacent, is respectfully I
invited; having adopted the plan with a view to their accommoda
tion, the proprietor hopes to receive a portion of their patronage
The stock now opening is large, well assorted, and of superior
quality ; a few of the leading artcles are subjoined.

VALUABLE LANDS FOR SALE.—The subscriber offers for sale,
on accommodating terms, three squares of first rate PINE LAND,
in the 9th District, Dooly County, ten miles from Dray ton, near the
road leading to Traveller's Rest.’and about six miles fiom the Rest.
There is on the premises, a new Log Dwelling House and Gin House,
and other outßuildings, Negro Houses, &c., as well as about one hun
dred and seventy acres of Cleared Land, which is mostly rich and in
good repair. The settlement has several fine .Springs of cool water on it.

I deem it not improper to state,Rliat notwithstanding the
nominal suspension of specie payment, in obedience to the
recommendation of a large and vert’ respectable portion of the
community, this Bank has been constantly paying out specie,
as the convenience of the public has demanded; and in no in
stance whatever has a legal demand been made, and not

Sir—ln conformity with the requisitions of the Legislature
of Georgia, I have now the honor to submit to you the stat©
of this Bank, as made up on Monday the 16th instant.
In order that the true reason may be known, why this Re
port was not made as of the Ist Monday in October, it is ne
cessary that I should remark, that the undersigned was absent
from the State ; the consequence was, that the entries necessa
ry to show the true state of the Bank, on that day, could not
be made. I reached home on Saturday night the 14th instant.
The account was made up on Monday the 16th, and I now
enclose it to your Excellency.
