Neatness In Fanning.
Nothing givoh evidence of thrift
and enterpriso in farming belter
Ilian keeping everything in order.
There are limes when even the most
painstaking men are compelled to
let things go somewhat at loose ends, '
but upon the first occasion of spare
time and duo diligence thereafter,
the wonted appearance of tilings
about (he promises returns. At tho
cost of a little time and labor when
required, tho appearance of an nn-
tidy farm mny be so improved as to
add considerably to its value, and '
the price obtained iu tbo event nt
its sale. The Contrast between neat
and slovonly kept farms represents
more in a pecuniary point of view,
very often, thnn is generally sup
posed. Tuke a farm which, by its
appenrance shows clear culture,
from which stumps nail bushes have
been removed, tho buildings kept in
repair, the fences and gates iu order,
t be rubbish kept from the roadside
nnd fenco corners, tbe tools housed
when not in use, nnd the stocks ex
hibiting evidence of good care and
attention, aud it the event of its
punhase it will bring relatively
much raoro than one equally fertile,
but kept in a slovenly wiiy. Weedy
fields, tumbled down fences, gates
with broken binges, buildings out
of repair, implements scattered
about tbe farm where they were
used Inst, rubbish everywhere, and
inferior looking stoob, take from a
farm naturally fertile, a good round
sum iu the treat of a sale.—-Wes
