an immense exposition of industrial
power and equipment will be held 'n
Atlanta, Ga., for three days from
August 29th to 31st inclusive.

The many friends of Mrs. Earl
McCollum will be glad to know that
she is able to be out again.
Mr. and Mrs. Flowille Reinhardt
called on Miss Ann Brand a few days

said “by being used for industrial
purposes, I mean this latest of Henry
Ford’s inventions-the Fordson 'rac-
tor-is being used to supplant expen
sive steum power and horse power
in building and construction work, in
lumber and coal industries etc.’’

manufacturers of road building
equipment observing the power and
flexibility of the Fordson Tractor
have built their machinery to be
used only with this efficient power

set the power unit in a heavy frame,
put flanged wheels on it, connected
them with driving rods and made a
locomotive out of it to be used in
lumber, mining and
operations.
“This will give you just a small
idea of the kind of show this Ford
son exposition will be.”

Mrs. J. W. Grogan died August
the first at her home in Ball Ground
She was the wife of the late J. W.
Grogan, a well known citizen of
Cherokee Coutyn. Mrs. Grogan was
about ninety-five years of age, and
had been an invalid for a number of
years.
The funeral service was conducted
by Rev. F. S. Hudson at the Meho-
dist church. She is survived by one
daughter Mrs. J. F. Cain of Ball
Ground, two sons W. P. Grogan of
Lithonia, G. S. Grogan of Atlanta, a
sister-in-law Miss Jennie Grogan of
Ball Ground, nnd a number of grand
children.
