CIHOLIC REMEDY tor Horses, Mules and 1

prepared for many of my friends a remedy for j
Cliolic or Cramp in Horses, Mules and neat Cattle, j *

during the Spring and Summer months. This
mixture has thus far succeeded in every case in
whichit has been tried, to my knowledge, and if the
above facts were more generally known, many vulj
uable animals might bo spared to render their ;

every Planter and Farmer to obtain the above arti
cle for use in case of an emergency. Being pre
pared only by myself—and from long experience |
in its use, can confidently recommend it. For sale

GRANGERS’ MAGIC CORN AND COB
AND MEAL MILL,
Patented September 18, 1855.
| trirarduj, Whyte <0 Co., .Sob Agent*, Avgusta, Oa.
IMPRESSED with the entire superiority of
this celebrated Mill, over all others for like
purposes, we feel justified in presenting it to the
j public, as being all that can be consistently de
sired.
Possessed of all the advantages which are so
' palpably secured by the inner cone instead of the
! outer, being a fixture, while the outer cone, (or
’ shell i revolves; of being regulated in its feed by
: a single nut; of utter simplicity and accurate cori
j struction, these Mills present yet another, and a
I most invaluable feature, to which public attention
is especially invited —and which we believe renders
it totally superior to any Mill extant —to-wit: the
rollers, (which are adjustable, and the principle
j claim under the Patent i employed on the periphery
j of the revolving or outer cone! at its base,
j These rollers (interdicted in other machines)
' when once adjusted serve to keep the cones, under
j all circumstances, equi-dislant on every side <no
j matter how often the change of feed), tind utterly
j prevent the oscilating, or rocking motion other- j
| w ise incident to the revolving cone, and insepara- i
j bio from the moving cones of othe: Mills.
As among the incalculable advantages of this '■
arrangement, we suggest that there can be no j
j crowding of the feed on any one side of the Mill I
j more than another, which in other Mills often
1 brings in actual contact the sides of the Mill oppo- j
site to that excessively crowded, while it unmeas- :
j itrablv increases the' resistance to the moving |
j power. Again, while the yield is of more uniform '
\ consistency, the cones may be brought almost to- j
j gether, without danger of actual contact when in j
j operation- the result oftentimes of the rocking, j
| «>r vibratory motion in other Mills,) as the rollers
j serve to preserve, under all circumstances, the re- \
| lative distance of the cones from each other. Thus |
i the very finest material may he ground without j
j the danger of actual contact between the cones; j
! without the wear and tear incident to this contact; !
i and without the increased and irregular resistance j
| caused by this contact—advantages which every |
! reflecting mind will agree, cannot he over estima- i
ted, and which stamp this Mill i/icompivahly th „ |
•| A In-ai-n ! Specimens of the grinding of this j
Mill may he seen, of meal, shelled oats and i ve,
i which cannot he surpassed by the best Bitrr
Stones. A a recent public experiment, a single
i horse grouud at the rate of fifteen bushels ot nia- I
terial from shelled corn, to the hour, of which !
more than one-fourth was meal, passed through a I
No. 18 sieve the balance hominy and stock j
feed in equal parts. A small pony worked with I
an S‘.j loot lever, a No. 2 Mill, griuditur eight to
ten bushels to the hour, without difficulty. The
corn and cob ground together, exhibited beautiful
specimens of stock feed, which every true econo
mist should emplov, even where there are but
three or four animals to supply.
1 he capacity of the Magic depends, in a measure, !
on the kind and on tlie quality of the material
ground.
No. 1, (designed more especially for family- use, j
or very small farms.) will grind from three to five j
bushels per hour. No. 2, from five to ten bushels, j
No. 5, from ten to fifteen bushels.
The public, (within the territory of the under- '
signed, i will be supplied through Agents, at the !
different principal towns within our limits, at the !
following uniform scale of prices:
For No. 1 $45 Ot i
For No. 2 55 00 !
For No. 3 05 00 j

Arnica liniment, for burns,
Ac. A supply of this very desirable article,
(which should be kept in every family) ready for j
use, may be obtained at the City Drug Store, where |
it is for sale at only 50 cents per bottle. Having |
been burnt severely myself with Burning Fluid, 1 !
tried every remedy proposed by my friends, but
found, from experience, they were no go. On using
the Arnica Liniment, as per directions, it afforded j
immediate relief. I therefore can speak from ex
perience. This invaluable oleaginous Lin-ament
acts liketmagic, in removing the most acute pain,
by Burns, and seldom requires more than two or
three applications to relieve and cure those of a
severe character, either front Burning Fluid, Cam
pliine. Powder or Fire. This article is prepared
only by my self, aud having tried its efficiency, be
lieve it is the best remedv that can he used, when

Mr. Karoo brings w ith him great experience and

MELL S PATENT PLOW STOCK!
F■A 11 E undersigned lias invented and patented
.M. a most valuable improvement in the PLOW
STOCK the county rights for w hich he desires to
sell. He prefers to let others speak its praise, and
therefore introduces the follow ing certificates, from
two planters, well and favorably known in the
community in which they reside. He might in
troduce many others, hut the Plow Stock will
speak for itself w henever examined.
JAMES B. M ELL.
Riecboro’, Liberty comity, Gu.
This is to certify that I have, witii my on n hands,
thoroughly tested llie liewlv invented Plow Stock
ot .lames I>. Mell, Esq. In [mint of simplicity and
perfection. 1 have never seen or used its equal. In
it is combined every thing that ( could wish in a
Plow Stock, and it, m my opinion, is the cheapest
and the best that has ever been offered to the pub
lic. I speak from having used it with inv own
hands, fw as raised to follow the plow, and think
that 1 know how one ought to rim. I would cheer
fully thank any one, who will thoroughly Irv it, to
point out to me one single fuuit in it. It is easier j
upon the liot se and the plow man than any that 1
have ever used.
The principle upon which you regulate the depth
of the Plow is so simple, and yet so perfect, as to
commend itself to any one; anil the Stock is adapt
ed to any kind of Plow Hoe. It is, moreover, just
as light as any could desire it to he. I would" re
commend to any and nil, if they wish the best and
cheapest Plow Stock, without hesitation to get Mr
James B. Mell’s. D. W. Wilson.
Pentield, Ga., April L r >, 1856.
In company with several others, I, this dav, wit
nessed the trial of Mr. James B. Midi’s Plow Stock,
b\ Mr. D. W. Wilson, and cheerfully state that all
present were fully satisfied that it does everything
as stated above. I would, moreover, state that I
have been using them on my farm for several ;
.months, and every day serves to confirm me in the
opinion of the superiority of Mr. Mell’s Plow Slock
to all others now iimse. Thomas P. Janes.
