REMEDY for Hors. s. Mules aud
•' other Cattle.--For the last ten years, I have
prepared for many of mv friends a remedy for
Cholic or Cramp in Horses, Mules and neat Cattle,
to which diseases they are more or less subject to,
during the Spring and Summer mouths. This
mixture has thus far succeeded m every case iu j
whichit has been tried, to mv knowledge, and if the
above facts were more generally known, many val!
liable animals might be spared to render their i
owners further service. It is to the interest of
every Planter and Farmer to obtain the above urti- \
vie for use in case of an emergency. Being pre
pared only by myself and from long experience i
in its ns , cun confidently recommend it. For sal*

GRANGERS’ MAGIC CORN AND COB
AND MEAL MILL,
Patented September IS, 1555.
i Oirardey, B hyte dc (Jo., Hois Agmts, Augusta, Ga.
IMPRESSED with the entire suiierioriiv of
this celebrated Mill, over all others for like
purposes, we feel justified in presenting it to the
public, as being all that can be consistently de
; sired.
j Possessed of all the advantages which are so
palpably secured by the inner cone instead of the
outer, being a fixture, while the outer cone, (or
shell - revolves; of being regulated in its feed bv
a single nut; of utter simplicity aud accurate con
struction, these Mills present yet another, and a
| »nost invaluable feature, to which public attention
; is esjiec tally invited —and which we believe renders j
i it totally superior to any Mill extant—to-wit: the !
' rollers, (which are adjustable, and the principle j
j claim under the Patent) employed on the periphery j
i of the revolving or outer cone! at it* base. !
| These rollers (interdicted in other machines) *
j when once adjusted serve to keep the cones, under
j all circumstances, equi-distant on every side (no I
j matter how often the change of feed i, sind utterly
; prevent the oscilatiug, or rocking motion other- !
j wise incident to the revolving cone, and insepara-
I ble from the moving cones of other Mills,
i As among the incalculable advantages of this
j arrangement, we suggest that there can he no
{ crowding of the feed on any one side of the Mill
. more than another, which in other Mills often
j brings iu actual contact the sides of the Mill oppo-
I site to that excessively crowded, while it unmeas- j
j urably increases tlie resistance to the moving i
, power. Again, while the yield is of more uniform
! consistency, the cones may be brought almost to- I
| getlier, without danger of actual contact when in !
j operation— the result oftentimes of the rocking, j
or vibratory motion in other Mills,) as the rollers
serve to preserve, under all circumstances, the re
: lative distance of the cones from each other. Thus
the very tinest material may be ground without
; the danger of actual contact between the cones; j
| without the wear and tear incident to this contact; ;
I and without the increased and irregular resistance j
i caused by this contact —advantages which every 1
! reflecting mind will agree, cannot be over estinni- j
ted, and which stamp this Mill Me !
W known .' Specimens of the grinding of this '
Mill maybe seen, of meal, shelled oats "and rve, I
I which cannot be surpassed by the best Him- i
Stones. A a recent public experiment, a single i
i horse ground at the rate of fifteen bushels ot ma- j
; terial from shelled corn, to the hour, of which '
more than one-fourth was meal, passed through a !
No. IS sieve the balance hominy- and stock
feed in equal parts. A small pony worked with
an B}4 foot lever, a No. 2 Mill, grinding eight to
ten bushels to the hour, without difficulty. The
corn and cob ground together, exhibited beautiful
specimens of stock feed, which every true econo
mist should emplov, even where there are but
three or four animals to supply.
The capacity of the Magic depends, in a measure,
on the kind and on the quality of the material
ground.
No. 1, (designed more especially for family use,
or very small farms,) will grind front three to five
bushels per hour. No. 2, front five to ten bushels.
No. 3, front ten to fifteen bushels.
The public, ( within the territory of the under
signed.) will be supplied through Agents, at the
diliferent principal towns within our limits, at the
following uniform scale of prices:
For No. 1 £45 00 |
For No. 2 55 00 |
For No. 3 65 00

ARNICA LINIMENT, FOR IJIRNS,
2m. &c. A supply of this very desirable article,
• which should be kept in every family i ready for j
use, may be obtained at the City Drug Store, where
it is for sale at only 50 cents per bottle. Having
been burnt severely myself with Ruining Fluid, I
tried every remedy proposed by my friends, but
found, from experience, they were nnijo. On using
the Arnica Liniment, as per directions, it afforded
immediate relief. I therefore can speak from ex
perience. This invaluable oleaginous Linaincut
acts likojtnagie, in removing the most acute pain,
by Burns, and seldom requires more than two or
three applications to relieve aud cure those of a
severe character, either front Burning Fluid, Cain
phine, I’owder or Fire. This article is prepared
only by myself, aud having tried its efficiency, be
lieve it is the best remedy that can be used, when

MELL’S PATENT PLOW STOCK!
rgAIJ 12 undersigned has invented and patented 1
Ji a most valuable improvement in the PLOW
STOCK the county rights for which he desires to
sell. He prefers to let others speak its praise, and
therefore introduces the following certificates, from
two planters, well and favorably known in the
community in which they reside’, lie might in
troduce many others, but the Plow Stock will
speak for itself whenever examined.
JAMES B. MEI.L.
Rieehoro’, Liberty county, Ha.
Tliis is to certify that I have, with my o\vn bauds,
thoroughly tested the newly invented Plow Stock
of James 1!. Mell, Esq. In point of simplicity and
perfection, l have never seen or used its equal. In
it is combined every thing that I could wish in a
Plow Stock, and it, in my opinion, is the cheapest
and the best that has ever been offered to the pub
lic. 1 speak front having used it with mv own
hands. 1 was raised to follow the plow, and think
J that 1 know bow otic o tight to run. I would cheer- j
; fully thank any one, who will thoroughly try it, to
point out to me one single fault in it', ft is" easier ;
upon the horse and the plowman than any that l!
have ever used.
The principle upon which you regulate the depth ;
of the Plow is so simple, and yet so perfect, as to
commend itself to any one; and the Stock is adapt
ed to any kind of Plow Hoe. It is, moreover, just
as light as any could desire it to be. I would re
commend to any and all, if they wish the best and
cheapest Plow Stock, without hesitation to get Mr
James B. Melt’s. 1). AV. Wilson.
Penfield, Ga., April 15, is,AO.
In company with several others, I, this dav, wit
nessed the trial of Mr, James B. Moll’s Plow Stock,
by Mr. I). AV. Wilson, and cheerfully state that all
present were fully satisfied that it does everything
as stated above. I would, moreover, state that J
have been using them on my farm for several
months, and everyday serves to confirm me in the
opinion of the superiority of Mr. Moll's Plow Stock
to all others now in use. Thomas P. Janus.
