ICT* THE unparalleled number of
distinguished runners got by BED
FORD before he left Virginia, is not
unknown to the sporting world, little
pains have therefore been taken to im
press the public opinion in his favor.
It is however a remarkable Let, and
one thatcannot fail to interest the bre ;d
--ers in this country, that of those raised
in this state, but two of his get have yet
been trained, P'-ggy and Lottery, each
three years old ; that they have each
won three t mts, and have beaten every
race of note in the state, in a style that
has never been equaled by any ot.hu*
stock, on the Charleston turf.
