1. THE COLUMBIAN CENTINEL
will be published every Saturday, on
adepii paper, of an excellent quality,
and on an entire new type, ol which
this is a specimen.
2i The terms of subscription will be
three dollars per annum, one half
to be paid at the time of subscribing,
and the balance at the expiration ol
* the year.
■5. No subscription will be received for
a less term than six months, and all
subscribers papers will be continued
from year to year, unless ordered to
the reverse at the expiration of the
year, or six months.
4; Advertisements will be charged
sixty-three cents per square for the
first publication, and lorty-two tor
each and in the same
proportion for those of greater length.

stating, during the late war, the
loss of certain deeds of lease and re
lease from. William David, to the peti
tioner for a tract of two hundred acres
of land near the old Savannah road, ad
joining lands of L. M‘Gillivn»y and
others, originally grunted to Neal Da
vid, in St. George’s Parish, now county
of Scriven ; and that he had filed in the
clerk’s office copies of s riel deeds, with
evidence to substantiate the same:—
And on motion of Mr. S. Jones, attor
ney for the petitioner, It is Ordered,
That the heirs of said William Da
vid do shew cause, if any they have, on
the first day of the next term, why the
copy deeds so filed, should not be estab
lished in lieu of the original, in conformi
ty to the act in such cases provided.
It is further ordered that this ride or
order be published once a month for
six months, in one of the public ga
zettes of this state,

gust last, a Negro Man named
M ARK, about twenty-eight yearsof age,
five feet eleven inches high, tw o or three
of his fore teeth out, a little pitted with
the small pox, and a very bad counte
nance— He was formerly the property
of the widow Webster, in Wilkes coun
ty, near the town of Washington, where
it is expected he has run to, having a
wife belonging to «>ne West in said
neighborhood. And person delivering
him to the subscriber or securing him
in any jai] in this state shall receive the
above reward.
