winning three awards from the
National Academy of
Television Arts and Sciences;
one local Emmy and two
regional Emmy awards.
Robinson’s 1966 television
series “The Trouble with
Anacostia,” led the National
Education Association to
award him the Outstanding
Citizenship Award for
Excellence in Television
Journalism.
Since moving to the ABC
nightly news position,

vies for national post
ALBANY, Ga. -- Dr. James
L. Hill, former Paine College
professor, associate professor
and chairman of the
department of English at
Albany State College, is one of
two candidates vying for the
position of assistant chair of
the Conference on College
Composition and
Communication during the
organization’s current annual
election.
The results of the CCCC
elections are to be announced
in November, and the newly
elected assistant chair of the
organization will succeed to
accociate chair, chair and past
chair during the next three
years.
The Conference on College
Composition and
Communication is an 8,000
member national organization.
