The Colored Exodus. Senator Lamar’s testimony con cerning the craze still existing in Mississippi among the Colored peo ple about emigration to Kansas, is abundant proof that the poor blacks of that commonwealth are still de luded, and that beastly white emis saries are still deluding them, for some sinister purpose. It is suspect ed that the Republican design in his particular is a dual one. The intention, in part, is to reduce our southern population, so that the census report will cut down Con gressional representation in the South. The other elemental project by Conway, or some other knave, precipitate a disturbance that will solidify aud alarm the North. To accomplish these base and sel fish designs, the machinators of them are entirely careless how many He roes are impoverished or how many ie of starvation and neglect. The negro never was anything to the Radi cal marplots, other than a convenient ictim, for death or robbery, and that relation has not changed for the better. We know very well that adventurers of no particular party take advantage of this movement to betray and pillage the blacks; but Mr. Windom and bis fellow fanatics are responsible for the collateral as well as direct evils and abuses flow ing from this wicked or foolish agi tation.—Chronicle.
