of Co. G. This Insures the continued
existence of our splendid military
company, which had been somewhat
endangered by the recent Increase in
slse of enrollment requlrtd by the
United States army authorities. Quito
a number of new men are enlisting
here for the next two years, we are
pleased to state. Thla military ex
perience Is n good thing for young
men, and we are glud to see them tak
ing auch an Interest In It.

The community was shocked Friday
afternoon by the sudden death of Mr.
T.E. Chambleas.one of our beat young
men, at the home of hla mother,
Mrs. Lucy Chambliss. He had been
confined to hla home for several day*
with an Indisposition which was ap- I
parently yielding to treatment, and
had Just been talking cheerfully with
hla family when his heart suddenly
ceased to beat, and he died painlessly '
and with a smile upon hla lips.
