Colored School Closes.
The colored school closed Sat¬
urday with appropriate exercises
afternoon and night, A picnic
was also had. The South Geor-
gin road ran a colored excursion
to tlie city and the crowd joined
the picnic folks. The exhibition

Three Schools Had a Fine Picnic— Some
Splendid Addresses.
The Lenox and Pinebloom
schools in Berrien and Gv press
pond school in Colquitt had a pic¬
nic at the Kmard bridge west of
Lenox last Friday. The place is
a pretty one and the dinner,
which was spread upon the ground
was a feast, indeed. Ample pro¬
vision had been made bv t. .e good
people of that section for the
large crowd and everyone present
seemed to enjoy the day fully.
The Lenox school v as taught
by Mr. 0. M. Jackson, the
bloom school by Mr. Columbus
Williams and tho Cypress pond
school by Mr. Ed Simmons. All
of the schools were well attended
and the pupils made good prog
reso during the term.
