returned Thursday night from their
bird hunt in Franklin co. i here are
conflicting reports as to the number
of birds bagged, also as to wit > is res
ponsible for the death of tho.-e that
did die, each one claiming that he
killed all of the birds. However Mr.
Allen seems to have alt of the fevi—
dence in hisfavor. He says that Mr.
Keese’s gun invariably snapped and

that killed the birds.
