very unwilling to be disturbed. Profuse
diarrhea is also a symptom of tbe disease,

at a later stage they assume a dirty red
color, which tinge arises from occurauce of
hemorrhage in the intestinal ulceration.

We have beard rumors for several days

for Culm, and yesterday we were informed,
by » gentleman who professed to speak from

some seven hundred and fifty mea from the

some of Whom he mentioned, had arrived
in this vicinity within the past two or three
days, on thfeir way to embark for Cuba.
There is * warm sympathy for tbesjStrug

though, as we think, Southern men might
better employ their energies at this time
we have no doubt that unless order is re
established on the island it will be over

States. We would advise our young men
to keep aloof from an enterprise, which of
fers only bertain hardships and peril, and
in which they con have no political inter
