I' HE Ciscos.—The announcement haying been
made some time previous that Haights Circus
would perform in this city on 'Thursday, was the
meluik of collecting one ftf the largest crowds we
ever beheld in Brii bridge. It was marie known
on the streets that at the hour of one o’clock, the
mammoth balloon, with its cargo of a real l,verm n,
would commence its upward flight; and long be
fore the hour named a perfect host of com
posed of all grades and sexes, wfere assembled on
the citcus lot. Time being up, amid the merry
notes from the band, the great air ship was de
tached from its fastenings ahd away it went jour
neying toward the clouds. The balloon went up a
pretty considerable distance, and fell on the edge
••f town Without injury to the daring tenant.
The circus canvas was crowded to overflow
with an appreciative audience, ail of whom seemed
well Satisfied with the performance The whole
