to Burke’s Ferry has been removed by
temporary restraining order. This road
has been abandoned by the county for
almost 40 years. This is known by the
people who live in the area.
Anyone that is concerned about the
treatment of Lee County citizens and
taxpayers in this situation should contact
their commissioner and voice their opin
ion. What is happening to the landowner
in this situation can and may happen to
you!!!
Wake up Lee County and know the truth.

tal Building, until 11:00 A.M. (Local
Time), July 31, 2001, at which time
they will be publicly opened and
read.
The work under this Contract will
consist generally of the following:
The construction of one (1) 1.00
MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant
including new Factory Fabricated
Wastewater Treatment Unit, Influent
Pump Station, Mechanical Bar
Screen Structure, Effluent Structure,
Yard Piping such as Effluent Gravity
Sewer Lines and Force Mains, Wa
ter Mains, Control Building, Blower
Building, In-Line Mixer, Traveling
Bridge Filters, UV System, Alum
Feed, Booster Pumps, Site Grading,
Fencing, Fill Dirt, Electrical, Me
chanical, Control Panels, and Asso
ciated Work required to provide one
Complete and Operable Facility.
All work on the Project must be
completed within 365 consecutive
calendar days of date of notice to pro
ceed.
Bid shall be submitted on Bid Pro
posal Forms furnished for that pur
pose, in accordance with the Contract
Documents and the Plans and Speci
fications which are on file and may
be reviewed at the office of the Gen
eral Manager and the office of
Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., Con

Copies of Bid Forms, Plans, Speci

deposit of $200.00 per set of specifi
cations and plans. No refund will be
made for returned documents.
No bid will be considered unless

Utilities Authority prior to the time
set forth above, and accompanied by
a Bidder’s Bond, payable to the Lee
County Utilities Authority for 10 per
cent of the amount of the bid; to be
forfeited as liquidated damages in the
event that the bid be accepted and the
bidder fail to enter promptly into a
written contract and furnish the re

the 1300 National Guard Troops
from Georgia stationed in
Bosnia.

"Growers looked at every
option available. The need for
being competitive with imports
along with the political realities
in Congress dictates that
growers consider a new
direction for our program," says

APPA. "Any program must
address these key issues plus
provide adequate production
management and provide a fair
compensation that is quota
related."

nesses and commodity organi
