Fill-A-Bus Project Benefits Students
Victory Impact Ministries, an
evangelistic outreach ministry of
Victory Tabernacle, is again
working on an exciting project
that will impact numerous fami
lies in Lee, Dougherty and Worth
Counties. Last year, they filled a
school bus with school supplies
for students that were in need of
assistance in the Lee, Dougherty
and Worth County School Sys
tems. For their efforts, Victory
Tabernacle received numerous
letters of thanks from principals
and teachers. Many students re
ceived the school supplies.
Because the need is so great, the
goal this year is to fill three
school buses with school sup
plies. The principals and teach
ers will distribute the supplies to
those students who need them
during the 2001-2002 school
term.
The school supplies will be do
nated by individuals, businesses
and Victory Tabernacle. One hun
dred percent of donations will go
to the students.
Lee Countians can be a part of
Project-A-Bus. Donations should
be made to Victory (for Fill A Bus
and mailed to Victory Tabernacle
Assembly of God at 3250
Sylvester Road, Albany, Georgia
31705. Contribution statements
will be mailed at the end of 2001.
School supplies needed include
wide ruled notebook paper, fold
ers - 3 prong with pockets, cov
ered pencil sharpeners, plastic
safety scissors, pens, pencils,
markers, composition books,
boxes of tissue, erasers and rul
ers.
Drop-off box locations include
Winn Dixie - Leesburg and Bill’s
Dollars Store in Leesburg. Look
for the bright yellow box.
In appreciation, a list of the par
ticipants will be given to the
school boards.

Untimely Move
When you have to transplant
woody plants in hot weather,
drape them with a wet sheet af
ter you plant them, say experts
with the University of Georgia
Extension Service. Dampen the
sheet two or three times a day,
keeping the plant covered for
hftifies
serveral days. This will help the
plants survive the untimely move.
