ports that on September 25, Officer
Moody responded to a call of dogs
fighting. Upon arriving at a Third

his yard and jumped on his dog
which was tied. The complainant
identified the owner of the dogs as
David Bozeman, 46, of Second
Street. He was charged with animal
at large.
Thomas Rose Wright, 45, of
Smithville, was arrested for viola
tion of probation on September 25.
She was transported to the Lee
County jail.
In two separate incidents on Sep
tember 28, Horace Nobles Mays,
Jr., 17, of Leslie, was charged with
Possession/Consumption of Alco
hol by a Minor and Child Molesta
tion and Statutory Rape.
On September 30, Lt. Arnold and
Animal Control Officer Wayman
Bozeman responded to an animal
cruelty call on Canal Street. As a
result, Rebecca Daniels of Canal
Street was charged with cruelty to
animals and disturbing the peace.
Two dogs were removed to the Hu
mane Society.
While investigating a vandalism
incident on October 1, Officer
Bullington noticed that a juvenile
offender had an odor of an alcoholic
beverage on his breath. When asked
where he received the alcohol, the
juvenile gave the officer the address
of a female adult. As a result, Dana
Leann Williams, 19, of Kincha-
foonee Street was charged with fur
nishing alcohol to minors.

will be available at the festival.

mary School's Fall Festival this
Saturday. October 6 from 10:00
to 2:00. Some of the activities
include cake walk, bingo, hippity-
hop races,, football toss, jewelry
engraving, moonwalk, basketball
shoot and many others. New to
the festival this year is a tricycle
derby, How fast is your soccer
kick?, and we have brought back
the good of hayride. There will
be a patriotic booth where you
can purchase student and adult T-
shirts, balloons, hats, and bumper
stickers. Pepsi made us a banner
that says"Thumbs Up for
America” and we want as many
thumbprints as possible.
Demp Posey will be cooking
corn on the cob and Mark Daniel
will be boiling peanuts- all good Students practice the football toss to prepare for

Players will present "Wiley and
the Hairy Man" on the backyard
stage at 10:30, 12:30 and 1:30.
The LCHS Chorus will perform
on the same stage at 11:00. A

lunchroom stage at 11:30. At
12:30, gymnasts will be perform
ing stunts and routines and at
12:45, Betty Petry (Lanier) will
perform the patriotic song she
wrote and recorded in 1974 -
"Our Country." The LCHS armed
and unarmed rifle team will put
on performances at 1:00. Tick
ets for activities and food are 16
tickets for $5.00 and 32 tickets for
$10.00. Most items in the patri
otic booth will be sold for cash
or check and not tickets. We hope
that you will come out and enjoy
some good family time at our fes
tival.
