DOR Move To Dekalb County Nearly Complete
The Georgia Department of
Revenue has nearly completed its
move to Century Center in
Dekalb County.
"Except for portions of the
Compliance Division and the
Sales and Use Tax Division,
which will move in December,
we have completed the move to
Century Center." Revenue Com
missioner T. Jerry Jackson an
nounced.
Individuals seeking general in

"To assist taxpayers, the main
numbers for our Divisions are
being automatically forwarded
through the end of December,"
Jackson added.
Jackson also announced that the

the old address, however, we be
lieve the new address is easier to
remember," Jackson explained.

A.J. McCorkle, APPLICANT (Z01-024) has submitted a petition to
the Lee County/Leesburg/Smithville Planning Commission request
ing a Conditional Use of property to allow the keeping of livestock
(goats) in an R-l Single Family Residential District. Property is lo

Bostick Builders, APPLICANT (Z01-002L) has submitted a petition of
the Lee County/Leesburg/Smithville planning commission request
a rezoning of property from R-l fo C-2 to allow commercial devel
opment of property. Property is located at 210 Walnut Street, Lees
burg, Georgia.
AMENDMENT TO THE LEE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES to amend
the ordinance to create regulations for commercial Dumpster
Pads. Tabled at October meeting.

INVITATION TO BID
CONSTRUCTION OF PIRATE S COVE NATURE PARK
Sealed Proposals will be received by Lee County, Georgia at the
Lee County Commissioner's Office, 104 Lealie Hwy, Leesburg,
Georgia 30263, until 11:00 AM on the 29th day of November, 2001,
for the construction of Pirates Cove Nature Park, Lee County,
Georgia at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened
and read aloud. Proposals received after the designated time will
not be considered.
The Contractors Proposal will include the furnishing of all labor,
materials, equipment, and all things neccessary pursuant to Draw
ings, Specifications and Conditions, etc, for construction of Pirates
Cove Nature Park, Contract No. 01163-01 (the "Project").
The project generally includes installation of Entry gate, site
signage, 700 LF of boardwalk, 2100 LF crushed aggregate trail, and
7 overlooks and miscellaneous fixtures, furnishings and equipment.
The project will involve coordinating activities with the county's
construction division.
Contract Documents are open to the public at the Lee County
Commissioners Office, 104 Leslie Highway, Leesburg, Georgia
31 763, and at the office of Robert and Company, Architects-
Engineers- Planners.
Qualified Bidders may obtain copies of the Contract Documents
after November 1st, 2001.
Copies of such drawings and Project Manual must be obtained in
written form from Brett Marsengill, Robert and Company, 96 Poplar
Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30303 - 404/577-4000, upon the nonrefund-
able payment of Seventy Five dollars ($75.00) for each set Pay
ment must be by check, no cash accepted. Make checks pay
able to Robert and Company. Inc.
No Proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a certified
check or acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than five
percent (5%) of the bid and made payable to Lee County.
All bids must be made out on the separate proposal form furnished
with the Contract Documents in accordance with the instructions
in the Instructions to Bidders. No interlineations, additions or dele
tions shall be made in the proposal form by the bidder.
Successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Contract Perfor
mance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the
Contract Price, with the terms and surety to be approved by the
owner; and furnish satisfactory proof of carriage of the insurance
required.
The Owner reserves the right, with or without notice or cause to
accept any bid regardless of the amount thereof; to reject any
bid, any number of bids or all bids; to negotiate with any bidder for
a reduction or alteration in its bid; to waive or insist upon formal
requirements; to reject all bids and to call for additional bids upon
the same or different invitation to bid. Plans and Specifications, to
be the sole judge, in its discretion, of all questions as to whether or
not a bid complies with the Invitation to Bid, the Plans or the Speci
fications, and as to the qualifications of a bidder to perform the
Contract.
Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia laws and
comply with same.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual
date of the opening thereof.
The successful bidder shall commence work with adequate force
and equiqment on a date to be specified in a written order of the
Engineer and shall complete the within 90 calendar days, exclud
ing business holidays.
Payment will be made to the Contractor each calendar month
based on the estimated work complete in-place as prescribed by
the Specifications. Retainage as prescribed by the standard speci
fications will be withheld.
