the title of Miss Spirit
of Sunbelt Rodeo Expo
Pageant that was held
Saturday August 10th at
Spence field in Moultrie.
Participants partici
pated in written test,
interviews, introduction,
speech, and horseman
ship.
Bronlin is the eight
year old daughter
of Dana and Daniel
Reddock. She attends
Kinchafoonee Primary
school and is in the sec
ond grade.
Bronlin is a member of
the equestrian team at
Serenity Stables in Lees
burg. Sponsorship for
pageant was provided by

and Construction.
Sarah Larson was
named Miss Sunbelt Ro
deo Expo Queen. She is
a teacher of Agriculture

Amelia won the title
of Little Miss Georgia
at the Henry County
Performing Arts Center
in McDonough, GA, in
March of this year. In
addition to other things,
her contract included
that she represent her
state of Georgia in the
United States National
pageant in Las Vegas.
She competed with girls
from across the United
States in evening gown,
interview, sportswear,
and onstage question.

promising women of
all ages can dream big!

Amelia is the daughter
of Vaughn and Machelle
Hussong of Leesburg,
GA. Amelia is a 5th
grader and Honor Roll
Student. Amelia loves
reading and science. One
day she wants to become
a scientist and help with
the cure for cancers.
Amelia enjoys model
ing, acting, competing
in pageants, ballet, tap
and learning to play the
piano. Amelia has been
modeling in New York
Fashion Week in New
York City since she was
six years old. Amelia
loves volunteering for
“With love Global” and
fundraising for Chil
dren’s Miracle Network,
Relay for Life, Toys
for Tots, and being an
ambassador for the Tim
Tebow Foundation to
raise money for chil
dren with special needs
and children needing a
forever home. Amelia
says her platform “Live
to Give” is not only
giving money to help the
homeless, special needs,
and foster children, it’s
She has since retired
from the United States
Army with 28 years of
honorable service. She
has distinguished herself
through her work and
been praised by soldiers
and general officers. She
has achieved many per
sonal accomplishments
throughout her career
and has been recognized
for selfless service, hero
ism, honor, integrity and
duty. She has given back
to many of the commu
nities where she has been
stationed over the years
and continues to give
back to her community
and to the military. She
demonstrates positive
leadership, character,
and service.
Lieutenant Colonel
DaSilva faithfully served
this county for 28 years,
retiring in 2016. She
began her military career
in February 1988 in
the GA Army National
Guard, as an enlisted
soldier, where, after
completing Advanced
Individual Training, she
received “Distinguished
Honor Graduate” honors.
In 1995, she graduated
from Georgia South
western State University
with a bachelor’s degree
in history and became
an officer commissioned
as a 2nd Lieutenant by
Georgia Military Col
lege.
During her 28 years,
she has served in numer
ous leadership positions
and volunteered in
countless community
services and activities
too numerous to men
tion. Some examples are
that Lieutenant Colonel
DeSilva has served as a
mentor at several Boys
and Girls clubs, as as
sistant basketball coach
for Youth Services, has
mentored and assist
ed in tutoring kids for
after-school programs,
served as an after-school
crossing guard, has
read to children in their
classrooms, is a member
of the Parent Teacher
Association board, has
volunteered at homeless
shelters, has sponsored
several events to support
soldiers and to support
veterans in the commu
nities in need of help,
has served as minister of
music for several church
es, served as a Sun
day school teacher for
children, and has spoken
to several schools and
groups on the prevention
of sexual harassment and
assault. Lieutenant Col
onel DeSilva has men
tored countless soldiers
and subordinate officers
during her tenure, most
of which have achieved
successful careers and
have retired honor
ably, and some have
become senior officers
themselves and are still
currently serving.

Support Battalion, 3rd

Benning, GA; there she

she was assigned to
the 51st Maintenance
Battalion, Mannheim,
Germany as the Support
Operations Maintenance
Officer In Charge, re
sponsible for the main
tenance and services
for 256 customer units
of equipment. In 2001-
2002, she served as the
Battalion Administrative
Officer for the 2/502d
Aviation Regiment, in
Mannheim, Germany.
From 2002-2004, she
served as Company
Commander of Head
quarters and Headquar
ters Company, 37th
Transportation Com
mand, Kaiserslautern,
Germany, responsible
for the health and wel
fare of 206 Officers, sol
diers and civilians. Fol
lowing company com
mand, in 2004-2006,
she was reassigned to
3/345th Combat Service
Support Battalion and
served as an Observer
Controller and Team
Chief; there she facili
tated the deployment of
several National Guard
and Reserve units into
Iraq and supported
the logistics efforts for
Hurricane Katrina. After
completing Interme
diate Level Education
school in 2007, she was
assigned to the 73rd
Ordnance Battalion as
the Battalion Executive
Officer from 2007-2009,
