Dougherty County north up 19. A sedan in
the left lane, an SUV in the right running
side by side, until the SUV turned right at
Publix and the sedan continued on North in
the left lane. So quandary solved.

Bus Drivers To Receive Salary Adjustment
During their meet
ing Monday, July 26,
the board of education
approved salary guide
adjustment for bus drivers.
The salary adjustment
will be effective in
September. Lee County
is facing a shortage of
school bus drivers. Dr.
Miller, Superintendent,
noted that other school
systems in Georgia and
throughout the country
are facing the same prob
lem. Donna Ford, board
member, noted that salary
adjustments will be re
viewed for other non-cer-
tihed employees as well
as the instructional staff.
On Monday, July 26,
during their board retreat,
the members of the Lee
County Board of Educa
tion adopted the LCSS
Strategic Plan Goals and
Performance Objectives
2021-2026 (which includ
ed the LCSS Mission,
Vision, and Beliefs).
The Lee County School
System utilized a process
developed by the Georgia
School Boards Associ
ation (GSBA) and the
Georgia Leadership Insti
tute for School Improve
ment (GLISI) to develop
a strategic improvement
plan.
During a presentation on
test scores by Susan Man-
ry, Assistant Superinten
dent for Curriculum & In
struction and Dr. Brooke
Stembridge, Literacy
Coordinator K-5, Board
Member Jamie McDowell
wanted to know what the
board could do to further
assist the instructional
staff in their teaching.
The board approved a
request from Brian Rob
erson, CTAE Director, for
the addition of two CTAE
Courses in order for
students to complete the
Web and Digital Design
Pathway. These courses
would be offered at Lee
County High School.
Currently “Introduction to
Digital Technology,” the
first course in the path
way is being offered. The
Web and Digital Design
Pathway is under the
Information Technology
Career Cluster. Courses to
be added are Web Design
and Computer Science
Principles.
During their meeting

S. Smith, Ethel Thomas,
and Barnes Leigh Ann
Hall. Margaret Frey was
approved as a substitute
teacher (certified). Janet
Kirksey and Lucinda
“Cindy” Laviano were
approved as TOES 49%
paraprofessionals. Holly
Peek was approved as a
TOES paraprofession-
al. Suzanne Brown was
approved as a LCMS-E
paraprofessional. Amanda
Hendley was approved as
a KPS paraprofessional.

proved as a LCPS non-in-
structional aide. Emily
