[Crowded out last week]
Spring has come.
The flowers are sweet oil the Miller
hills.
The young people had an all day
singing at Enon church. They report
a good lime.
S. S. Carter has completed his new
house and nobody lias said, “yes!’’
The annual picnic at Bullion Falls
will be on May, 12. Every
body invited to come and bring well
filled baskets.
Mr. A. li. Campbell is on a visit to
his brother’s in Atlanta.
Mel Brock has returned to Florida
Mrs. Wiley Williams is visiting in
Lula.
G. T Campbell gave us a call Mon
day.
Charley Chambers has a furniture
shop running on full time. It is run
by water power.
The Donkey made his appearance
in Lula the other day. We thought
he was swapped off at Carnesville
court.
Mr. Lump Bennett and Miss Minnie
Lock man were happily married Sun
day near Grove Creek church.
Hovt Chambers -‘wheeled” it to
Harmony Grove to-day,
S. S Carter has purchased anew
saw mill outfit.
Farmers are having nice weather
for planting ciops.
Gillsville was represented at Enon
Sunday,
Miss Mattie Coffee visited Miss
M. S. Hyder one day this week
L. T. Campbell is a candidate for
matrimony.

Royston. Last night the wedding
bells rung out merrily again. Mr. L.

were married at the Methodist Par
sonage. Mr. Doruugh is one of Roys
ton’s most pouular young men Mrs.

Dorougii has won a jewel

The infant child of Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Shore is very ill at this writing
but we hope will soon recover.

spent Sunday with friends here.

Master Henry Sisk is on the sick

The musical given at Mr T. G.
Smith’s Saturday night was enjoyed
greatly by all present. The music
made by Messrs. Dennis Hopkins,
Henry and Harbin Chandler, and Lu
ther and Calvin McDonald was excel
lent. We hope to have them with
us again.

Mr. Boon Suddath, of Gillsville,
passed through town last Monday

Mr. Mack Furr honored oar town
with two visits recently. Come often

Jolly Bill Mason, of Ifomer, was to
see us last Saturday, and,as he always
does, put everybody m a good humor.
Editor Meeks, the hustler, was over
to see us Saturday; (he short time he
remained, was taken Sup in doing good
for our live county paper
It was indeed a treat to have Hon.
J. G, Ward with us a very short
time last week. Mr- Ward is one of
our best citizens and successful far
mers, and as such he is a welcome
visitor any time.
Our teachers and pupils are busily
engaged preparing for the closing ex
ercises of the school. It will be a
splendid entertainment, and you and
everybody must come.
Mr. H. W. Wooding had both
of his bands painfully burned one day
