the displays are exceedingly nice.

tinue as he is now, we shall be blessed
with glorious weather for the holidays.
The. voice of the tin horn is now
beginning to be heard in the land which
is a tare sign of approaching Christmas.

A number of Vienna people will
spend tiieir Christmas in other places
with friends and relatives. Several
people from other places are intending
to spend the holidays with friends in
Vienna.

lithographed calender for the year 1903,
consisting of three pretty, fat babies,
two laughing and one crying. It is a
very pretty effect, did in colors, and
we express our thanks 'tb the givers.
It it reported that the fire cracker
ordinance will be suspended on Christ
mas day and ihe boys can have all the
fun they are looking for without laying
themselvea liable to be hung on “cir
cumstantial evidence.’’

Miss Effie Butler returned Saturday
from Milledgeville, where she has been
attending the Georgia Normal and In
dustrial school this fall.
The people of Vienna do not care so
much ns to the merit* of the dispute
over the crossing between the two rail
roads, but they are exceedingly anx
ious for'the whole business to be set
tled and settled at once, so that this
town can begin the enjoyment of her
second railroad at the earliest possible
moment.
