The Spring poet is cornin',
•He cumeth in the Spring;
, < And is a bore to editors,
When he begins to sing.
The Spring poet is cornin’,
‘ Hts wings begin to flop;
' And the editors often wish,,
He'd never made a crop.
But may*be the editors are wrong,
For when the poet poses,

He sings ol'the »wl_.
'The pinks and the roses.
So let him corn* along,.
And sing hit little lay;
Perchance he may brighten,,
The dark and cloudy day.

Weak
Hearts
Are due to Indigestion. Ninety-nine of every
one hundred people who have heart trouble
can remember when it was simple indiges
tion. It Is a scientific fact that all cases of
heart disease, not organic, are not only
traceable to, but arothe direct result of Indi
gestion. All food taken Into the stomach
which falls of perfect digestion ferments and
swells the stomach, puffing It up against the
heart. This Interferes with the action of
the heart, and In the course of lime that
delicate but vital .organ becomes diseased.

John K. Cooper, the red headed

The following letter explains itself:
To the Honorable Judge of the City

We do not wish to unjustly
Criticize Lieutenant Hobson, hut it
does seem to one not interested
that if there had been anything
very seriously wrong with his eyes
the numerous examinations through
which he has passed would have
revealed it. He has been given
every chance by the navy depart
ment to demonstrate that his eyes
are injured, and he hits been exam
tned by physicians for the purpose
of ascertaining if any real cause
existed why he should be retired.
Every lime he failed to prove his
contention, and as a matter of
course, he could not be retired
without some sufficient ground for
such action. It is hard to believe,
however, that us bruve 11 man
Lieutenant Hobson proved himself
to be would make this cluim with
out some grounds for it, and Sec
retary Moody did right in accept
ing his resignation.
