War Trade Board Finds
German Submarines
Directed at Neutrals
German’s war leaders are using the
submarine to prevent fulfillment of
America’s agreement to feed and re
lieve European neutrals, according to
a statement by the War Trade Board
It says:
“A mass of cumulative evidence
and indications in the possession of
the War Trade Board shows that
Germany is employing the submarine
menace to prevent neighbor neutrals
receiving any food favors at the
hands of the United States and its
associates in the war, and to coerce
these neutrals through starvation
and political and economic depend-
lce upon Germany’s ostensible ajm
i proclaiming the ruthless submarine
campaign.
“Further indications tend to show
that thes ubmarine is being used along
similar dog-in-the-manger lines, to
destroy neutral ships without regard
to its employment.”

GRAIN THRESHERS
Y our Farm Needs this Outfit
The combination of a Sterling thresher with an I H C
gasoline engine, both mounted on one truck, is one of the
biggest expense-reducing and labof-saving combinations
ever brought to your attention. With this outfit, you can
do your threshing practically alone, so little help is required.
You can also do small jobs for your neighbors and in this
way pay for the outfit. When threshing is over, you can
dismount the thresher and mouni a saw in its place. Or,
you can belt the 4 or 6-horse power engine to a pump, corn
shcller, grinder, etc., in fact, use the engine for a large
variety of purposes.
The Sterling thresher is so practical and easy to handle
that a boy can attend to all duties connected with the thresh
ing operation.

A complete survey of the actual
Jpicsent labor conditions in Georgia on
the farms—with the collection of
other data necessary—will be
made on March 28, 29 and 30. This
survey is to be made by the students
cf the higher grades in the public
school of each county, and will be a
body of statistics vitally important at
this time when the conservation of
oductive agricultural labor is a
matter of so great importance in the
campaign to make Georgia self-sus
taining in producing its own food and
feed and doing her share in raising
thee lothing crop for the world.
J. E. Bodenhamer, Farm Help
Specialist for Georgia from the office
of Farm Management U. S. Depart
ment of Agriculture, has mailed out
the survey blanks to each county,
sending them to the school superin
tendent, who will in turn mail out a
sufficient number of schedules to each
teacher of his county for use in each
school district.
These surveys are being made in all
the states, they are made for the pur
pose of obtaining an estimate of la-
lor needed during the coming season
and a statement of crop acreage, live
stock, seed and other farm necessi
ties and supplies wanted or for sale
The survey is conducted under the
joint auspices of the Public School
sytem of the State, the State Depart
ment of Labor, the Extension Divis
ion of the State College of Agricul
ture, the State Department of Agri
culture, and the United States Depart
ment of Agriculture.
In summarizing conditions in Geor
gia the county school districts will
gather the figures of the summary in
those districts and transmit them to
the county school superintendent,
who, when he has assembled them,
will send them to the State Agent,
Mr. Bodenhamer, whose office is in
the State Capitol, Atlanta, Ga. The
Farm Help Specialist will then tabu
late the figures for all the counties of
the state and send his summary to
Washington. This will be the process
in each state. In the work of making
the county summary, the school super
intendent will have to assist him the
county farm demonstrator, the county
food administrator and such other
they may select. When all the re
ports from all the school districts in
all the counties of all the state.- of the
animals: Dairy Cows, bulls, beef
Union are gathered—the Government
will have in hand the real conditions
as to farm labor and farm needs.
The information asked for in the
schedules is to be strictly confidential.

Be physically fit! Guard your health as the most prized possession you
have. When you find yourself losing your grip, becoming irritable, nervous,
weak, anemic, take inventory. See what is wrong!
Your blood probably does not contain sufficient iron. The red corpu9flb3
may have become diminished, and consequently, your entire system suffers
from insufficient and impoverished blood supply, and the accumulation of
poisonous waste matter.
If you find this to be the case, you will want a remedy that will supply
iron, which will increase tho number of red corpuscles. Try ZIRON, the new
Iron Tonic, which contains no alcohol, no habit-forming drugs, and is rec
ommended as a safe, reliable, tonic remedy for men, women and children.
Mrs. Lizzie Pennington, of Adamsville, Ala., writes; “About two weeks
ago I wa3 in bed with an awful bad cold, and I was awful weak. I had taken
purgative medicine, but wanted to try something with iron to see if I couldn’t
get back my strength. My son thought Zlron would help me, so I commenced
it. My nerves generally run down in the Spring and I need something to
build me up.. .V/hen I got some better and was up and around, we commenced
the Ziron and it surely helped me to gain my strength and throw off the
cold...I have used only about a half bottle of Zlrpn but feel so much better
and stronger that I may not have to take any more for awhile.”
SPECIAL OFFER: Buy a bottle of ZIRON, today, at your druggist’s
and give it a fair trial, according to directions on the bottle. If, after using
up one bottle, you find it has not benefited you, take the empty bottle back
to tho druggist and he will refund what you paid him for it Wo repay hinli,
so there is no reason why he should not repay you. This offer only applies
to the first trial bottle. (ZA8
