Electric Light u the best light
Electric Power is the best power
You can bare electricity right in your home. This plant brings
you the many labor saving devices the city dweller enjoys. It
gives you light—ready for use every hour of the day und night.
The snap of a switch floods the house add bam with as much light
as you could wish for. Snap another switch and the motor turns
the washer and wringer. It’s easier to snap a switch than it is to

other distasteful tasks. Install
Atlanta, Ga—The special tax com-
I mission appointed by the Legislature
■ to draft a general revision of the tax
laws of Georgia will hot consider any
backward step in the direction of the
old tax law so aptly described as
system of “Passing around the hat for
taxes." Instead of weakening the tax
equalization law in any particular the
commissio'n will undertake to make it
stronger and more thoroughgoing in
the light of its workings for the past
four years.
Georgia's tax values under this
act have now increased beyond the
billion dollar mark, snd the state’s in
come almost for the first time in Its
historyis npproaehably 'in reach of
legislative i expenditures. Coupled
with the equalization law, the Inheri-
itance tax law, has likewise brought
into the state treasury thousands of
dollars every year. The special tax
commission held several meetings in
Atlanta last week and will meet here
dgain'in November to begin a series
[atfpubllc hearings. ’ it tav* is-•• ~*0
