The pan-Americans have returned
to Washington.
Foraker isn’t shooting his mouth off
so often now-a days.
Mahone has probably crawled into
a hole. Stop it up, if he has.
Hon. Clark Howell, of Fulton,
spoken of as the next speaker of the
house.
Camilla now has a bank. This re
minds us that Camilla is one of the
coming towns of South Georgia.
North America is now a solid re
public, with tho exception of Canada.
And that province of England is rap
idly ripening for a republic.
The republicans are still dazed over
the fact that the democrats elected a
governor in Iowa. The dazing busi
ness will be lively in 1892.
Senator Evarts is in Europe. He
will hardly cable one of his long sen
tences back during his sojourn abroad.
It would be an expensive undertaking.
Ben Foraker and Ben Harrison are
two disconsolate republicans, just now.
Nor would, we forget to mention one
William Mahone,as being in the snme
category.
Hon. dark Howell has taken a
high stand among the rising young
men of Georgia. His friends, and
they are many, will Watch his future

republics take their way.
Nellie Bly. one ot the World’s staff,

the intention of going around the
world in seventy-five days. She’s
plucky young woman.
Augusta is trying to reform her
municipal matters. That city has
been, like many individuals, living
boyond its means; and the result is
anything but satisfactory to the tax
payeis.
Allison will have a close call before
tho next legislature of Iowa. Two or
three disaffected republicans would
turn him out to graze on tho plains
and prairies of the northwest. Well
he has been stall fed at Washington
long enough.
Farmer Livingston is going around
making speeches to the farmers,
it not rather early to begin the guber
natorial campaign? It is not unlikely
that Farmer Northen, in self defense,
will have to start on Farmer Living
ston’s track.

Montgomery, Ala., Nov. 16.—
The state department of agriculture
has completed its November reports
based on reports from nil sections of
the state. The report is full of inter

86 per cent, of the usual cotton crop
bos been made in tho state, the aver

failure of the crop in some of the cot

The corn crop is above a full ono,
the report showing an average of 105.

New Orleans, La., Nov. 15.—
Hon, Jefferson Davis is a passenger
on the steamer Leathers. She passed
Bayou Sara at 6 o’clock to night, and
will arrive here about noon to morrow.
He is only suffering from general
debility.

Being drawn to Thomasviile by the per

loented here for the practice of medicine,
Ilomcopathically, which really is the most
efficient mode of treating and curing dis
eases, therefore, where known and practiced,
is in great repute. I have also in successful
operation the hot air inhaling apparatus for
the cure of consumption, invented and suc
cessfully used by Prof. Weigcrt, of Berlin,
Germany, in the cure of that dread disease.
Circulars, explaining the nature ol the dis

are free upon application at my office,

Special Engagement of tho Irish Gomedy
Kings,
The democratic legislature of Ohio
should select a senator for his brains,
and not for the size of his bank ac
count. The senate has enough rich
men in it. And the great bulk of
them are republicans. The republi
cans appear to be furnishing the boo
dle in that branch of the legislative
department of the government; let
the democrats fnraish the brains.
They have more of tho latter than of
the former.
The election of Payne to the senate
from Ohio was a mistake. Don’t
make a similar mistake, gentlemen.
