Mr. Ed Craigmiles, who travels for Lippman Bros., is visiting home folks. Mr. Artie Stuart went up to Dawson yesterday morning on a short trip. Mr. W. A. The meet will bs at Judge Hopkins’ residence, Thursday morning at 6 o’clock. The chase will probably be near Col Mc Intyre’s. i The fox and hounds have already been secured for the occasion. A large number ot ladies are expected to participate. Messrs. Sam. Mallard; HSveralus tT ^Hopkins and judge Hopkins are the committee on ar rangements. Dead- Yesterday morning passed away, Mrs. James A. McKee, wife of the Rev. J. A. McKee. The aged hus band has the tender sympathies of the entire community. The funeral ■will take place at a quarter past two o’clock, from the Presbyterian church this afternoon. A suitable notice of the deceased, who was dearly beloved by all, will appear in these columns. Thomasville Gun Works. We hope the general interest being shown in the appearauco of Worde here on Friday night—although he wilt richly merit the brilliant audi- euco which wiU greet him—will not cause Miss Ramie Austen and her splendid company to be overlooked on Thursday night. It is said to bo a most meritorious combination. The Jersey City Argus, speaking ot the play, says: “Guilty without Crime” is a melo drama of most iutcn8e interest, com bining all the elemonts of a popular success. The climaxes are startling to the extreme; situations all novel and original, holding tho audience spell-bound and awe-stricken at the many thrilling instances. The narra tive introduces a love story—tender and pathetic—affecting deep emotions. A rich comedy vein is interwoven, giving the necessary relief to this sterling play. No drama in the his tory of the stage fills ail the require ments so completely. The friends and acquaintances of Rev. James A. McKee aro invited to attend the funeral of the late Mrs. James A. McKee, from the Presbyte rian church, at a quarter past two o’olock this (Wednesday) afternoon. St. Thomas Lodge. A called meeting of St. Thomas Lodge, F. A. Jacko was cn exhibition yesterday morning, in front of Mr. Clifton’s repository, on Madison street. As an evidence of his relationship to man, we may state that he will drink like a toper, getting drunk as a biled owl, and that he smokes cigarettes. Aside from these vices, Jacko is a very respectable member of tho mon key family. His intelligence is re markable. Miss Cora Van Tassel and company passed through yesterday morning en route from a successful tour in Flor ida. She is a favorite with Thomas ville theatre-goers.
