It it quite important when speak ing of the longest day in the year, to say what part of the world we arc talking about, as will he seen bv read ing the following list, which tells the length of tho longest day in several places. How unfortunate are the children in Tornca, Finland, where Christmas day is less than three hours in length! At Stockholm, Sweden, it is l.s 1-U hours in length. At Spitsbergen the length of day is 3A months. At London, England, and Jlreiiieu, Prussia, the longest day has HU hours. At Hamburg, in (Jcr/nuny, and Dantzig, in Prussia, the longest day has 17 hours. At Wardbury, Norway, the longest day lasts from May 21 to July 22, without interruption.
