Atlanta, April 9 —Mr. Whit Collier and h s brother. Mr. George Collier, the parties who own the Indian Springs lease, have engaged an At lanta architect to draw plans for a $40,000 hotel, which they propose erecting as soon as practicable. The house will contain 135 rooms and must, according to their contract, be capable ol holding 300 guests. It will be out eit the question to get the building ready in time for the accom modation of visitors this season. A New Railway Car. Philadelphia and New York capi talists have formed a corporation with a capital ci $5,000,000, and have purchased 5,000 acres of land in Mc Kean county, Pennsylvania, where they will erect an immense plant to cost $2,000,000, for the manufacture of tubular steel cars for passengej service. The frame work ol the cars will be steel tubing, rigid, and firmly bolted together so a; to prevent the possibility of telescoping; tubes will take place of sills, plate and other longitudinal timbers. 1 he tubes in the frame'of the car will provide means ol heating, etc. Work on the plant will be commenced this spring. The Georgia Tress Association parted, with regret Irom two failhfu officials at the late meeting in Savan nah, Col. Estill, president and Steve Weston, treasurer. Both will ever b held in kindly remembrance by every member of the association. The Augusta Chronicle says: Rev. J. W. Burke has returned Irom his Cuban trip, on which he went along with the editorial excursion. During the Sunday spent in Havana, Mir. Burke delivered a sermon to a large congregation at the Cuban Bap- tist church, his remarks being Hans- lated in Spanish by the pastor, Rev. SenorDiaz.
