Our sprightly and wide awake con temporary, tho Boston World, always ready to put iu an oar and pull for its town, speaking of the proposition of the alliance men of the county to erect an oil mill and guano factory, says: “In a very short time the Alli ance of Thomas county will take de cided steps toward the establishment of an o>l mill and guano factory, at some jjolqt iu the county. “To the town and section securing this plant, will be added an enterprise that will build it up and infuse new life iuto its growth, besides enhancing and increasing the wealth of the property holders. “Besides these, there are a great many other advantages that will be derived from such an enterprise ns the above, and not only will it he of general advantage, but. it will be of local benefit, from the fact that it will take labor to fun the establish ment, and a large portion of this labor must necessarily be imported. “It enn at once be seen that it the of) null and guano factory proposed by 'Bbomus couuty Alliance was es tablished at Boston, that it would materialize our growth and increase our wenlth and prosperity, “If Boston will take the proper steps, she stands a chance ot getting it. Other towns stand ready to offer inducements for locating the plant with them. Boston can do the same. “In view of this fact, wo would then suggest that a meeting of the citizens be called, and tlint we discuss this matter, and sen what weean olltr. “This is too big a thing to miss. Wake up, gentlemen,to your interest. Let that show of public spiriteducss, so characteristic of the citizens of Boston, demonstrate itself. Let’s go to work with the determination to succeed, and we can get the oil mill and gtfnno factory.” We understand that Cairo, another one of Thomas county’s flourishing towns, will make an effort to secure the location of these proposed indus tries. Tbomasville wishes the Alli ance men and their proposed estnb lishrueut success, whether it be located here, or at some other place in the county. We hope tho Alliance will make the industries extend their In fluence beyond the borders of Thom as county. Another Sale. Messrs.
