Ball were appointed n committee to arrange for transportation The Sunday schools of Whigham, Cairo, Ochlockoncc, Boston and Met- .calfo arc cordinlly invited to join the .Thomasville schools and have a union celebration. Sir. J. L. Hall was ap pointed n committee of one to ex tend this invitatiou. The committee on transportation was requested to estimate the expenses necessary, so as to tnnke the sale of tickets cover the amount, and confer with the different schools so as to raise neecssary funds to medt any deficit that might arise from incidental ex penses. * * Mr. B. P. Walker was appointed a committee of one, with power to m- rangc lor sale of privileges for ice cream nud refreshment stands on the grounds. Sir. J. L. Hall was requested to see nbout the necessary grounds for the occasion. Messrs. Geo. H. Carroll, C. H. Wil liams,A . R. Jones, D. Elias and C. •P. Hansel), were appointed a commit tee to look after the baskets. The lady teachers attending the celebration were requested to act as committee of arrangement in provis ioning the table, und'it was decided to have one general table. Mrs. Brandon was requested to act as chairman of tho committee on ta ble. The Times Union correspondent, at St. Augustine, Fla , under date of the 13th, says: To morrow the flag of the Cordova will be lowered. It will indicate the closing of the most pros perous season this hotel has ever had, and with more praises for the excel lence of its management and its supe rior table and service than has been the lot to be accorded to any hotel before in the history ot Florida. The arrivals for the season number neaily five thousand. Every state and terri tory in the Union is represented upon the Cordova register, and its- guests have in every instance carried with them pleasant recollections of their sojourn in the Ancient City. They will sound the praises of this eleganuy^ hotel in their respective circles of quajptances. Mr. E. N. Wilson and thonen'in his employ take with Uiem the best wishes of all. A. W.
