The Military Advisory Board are determined to weed out all companies not coming up to the standard. Following is paragraph Gfrom Gen eral Order No. 7, which more thor oughly explains the intentions of the Advisory Board: “That a rigid inspection of all the military commands of the state be held during the month of May, 1890, with a view to ascertain their exact Thomasville Will be There. Owing to a little misunderstanding as to pntce of meeting, the wagon, which contained a goodly quantity of edibles had not made its appear ance up to noon, and n little anxiety was manifested. It howover did not take long for the young men to find and return with this interesting por tion of the programme, and all went merrily. The day was enjoyed to the utmost and the happy party returned in the cool of the evening, with pleas ant memories of the day. N. B.—A dove party is one where none but ladies attend. It is always necessary, however, to have another kind of a bird (not necessary to have a gay one) along to prevent accidents, you know. Mr. C. T. Stuart, of Thomasville, sent us over a silver wheel by Mr. Connell, for the Advance. Mr. Stu art is the oldest and best hotel man in Georgia, he furnishing a free “bus” at the depot in Thomnsville to all visit ors to his magnificent hotel.
