Early Closing.
„ Tho season has come when our mer
chant* can closo their stores in the
evening, without detriment to their
business, the interest of their custom
ers and certainly to the relief of their
clerks. We do not assume to dictate
the hour for closing, but suggest that
tliis matter be taken up, and a general
move made to close in the evening.
Almost every town and city in the
state has adopted the early closing
idea, aud it has been found to work
well.
Mens and youths suits. Tho nob

Spare the Song Birds.
The Times-Enterprisf. has heard
considerable complaint of the killing
of song birds by the boys around
town, with the new air rifle, and per
haps with the “little sling.” There is
no reason why the mocking birds
should fall victims to the crusade
against the English sparrows; it is ex
tremely doubtful if there be any of
the sparrows here, and it is certain
that the mocking birds are a source
of pleasure to every citizen of the
town. Spare the song birds.
S. S. Convention.

For a number of years I hare been subject
to violent attacks of inflammatory rheuma

month*. On,thfcflrst of this month Lwas

for two days, when I procured a bottlo of
Chamberlain’s Pain Balm and It relieved me
almost Instantly. I therefore most' cheery

terday, en route home from Atlanta,
where he went to see the laying of the
corner stone of the Confederate Mon

of Confederate veterans.
The only case in the police court
yesterday, was against Young Wil
liams for disorderly conduct. He was
found guilty, and sentenced to pay a
fine of $5 and costs, or go to jail for
three days. He chose the latter al
ternative, impelled therolo by an ab

People wonder when they find how rapid
ly health is restored by taking P. P. P.
(Prickly Ash, Poke Root and Potassium).
The reason is simple, as it is a powerful
combination of the roots and herbs of the
home woods.
Worth Knowing.
Mr. W. n. Morgan, merchant, Lake City,

with a distressing cough and running into
Consumption in its first stages. He tried
many so-called popular cough remedies and
steadily grew worse. Was -educed in flesh,
had difficulty in breathing nnd was unable
to sleep. Finally tried Dr. King’s New Dis
covery for Consumption nnd found imme
diate relief, and after using about half a
dozen bottles found himself well and hai
had no return of the disease. No other
remedy can show so grand a record of cures,
as Dr. King’s New Discovery for consump
tion. Guaranteed to do just what is claim
