In Memoriam.
Ella, youngest daughter of the late
•Samuel A. Johnson, was horn Sep
tember 12th 1870, died at her home
near Patten, Thomas county Georgia
June 8th 1890. The interment took
place at Salem church at 11 o’clock
June 9th, in the presence of a large
concourse of friends. The deceased
left a mother, three brothers and five
sisters, and a large circle of friends to
mourn tier loss.
Her last days were racked with
pain, but were made glorious by the
presence of that Saviour, to whose
glorious presence she has gone. She
wished to sec all of her friends that
she might hear testimony to the truth
of the religion that made her dying
bed “feel soft as downy pillows are”
While on her death lied she wrote
the following beautiful thoughts:
“I write this that all of my friends
may know that 1 am about to take
