Death.
Mr. William L. Smith was born in
Washington county in 1S26 and died
at the residence of his son, Mr. T. C.
Smith, in Thomas county, June t&tli
1899. Mr. Smith has been a resident

five living children, as grandchildren
and five greatgrandchildren, He was
a gallant soldier dui-mg the war and
had been a member ol tne Baptist
phgrch for a number ol years.

Back From Across the Water.

home from a visit to friends across
