Sixteen Trans-continental Passenger
Trains Daily.
Under the new train schedule which the
Northern Pucitlc Railroad inaugurate June
15th, 1890, there will Hixtccn tralas-contlmntal
passenger trains moving daily on till* great
line, eight east bound and eight west bound,
exclusive of 108 local, main and brack line pas
senger train* running daily west of St. Paul,
Ashland and Duluth in Wisconsin, Minnesota,
North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Oregon and
Washington on its 3800 miles of track.

line at St. Paul, announces that under the new
arrangement the first through train, the raciric
kxpress, leaves at. Paul at 8:15 a. m datlv, with
a through Pullman Palace sleeping car, leaving
Chicago daily at 6:3) p. in. via the Chicago,
Milwaukee & st. Paul Railway, running via Hel
ena and Tacoma direct to Portland, and making
••lose connection at st. Paul with all trains leav
ing st. i.ouis in the forenoon and Chicago in the
afternoon of the previous day, arriving at Taco
ma 10:50 a. m. of th? third day and Portland the
same afternoon.
Ths second through tram. No. 1, the Pacific
Mail, leaving Kt. Paul at4;i6p. in., daily, mak
ing close connections with the Fast Mail," and
all night tralus out of Chicago, will carry a
through Pullmau Palace Sleeping Car and one
or more Pullmau Tourist. Sleeping C.»rs leaving
Chicago at 10:45 p. in. dally via the Wisconsin
Central line, running through to Portland via
Helena and Tacoma. Both trains out of St.
Paul will carry Pullman Tourist Sleeping Cars
wad Dining Cars, but free colonist Sleepers
w ill lie run only on train No. 1, leaving St. Paul
at 4:15 t>. in.
Tito Northern Pacific now operate* the largest
equipment of dining cars of any railroad in tne
world, twenty-four, and also the longest Pull,
man sleeping car line in existence, namely Chi
cago to Portland via Tacoma, and is the only
lino running theso sleepers to the principal
trade centres and pleasure resorts in Northern
Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana and Wash-
