The fo'’owing speeia 1 to the Morn

‘•There lias been veiy litt'e work
done for some months on the Augjs
fa, Tallahassee and Gulf railway, but
J. M. Cook, the chief engineer, lias
just received ordeisto lmvcthe biidge
across the Ochlockonee and that
across the bopchoppy both completed
at once, and it is said that active work
on the construction of the road to
Thomasville will begin again in a few
weeks, and that the road will be
pushed to completion.
“.Stock is being token freely in the
newly incorporated road, the Ta’la-
hos82c Northern, and some think that
this spot t of renewed work on the
Augusta, To'lahassee and Gulf is to
frighten the new company off, but
the indications arc favorable for the
building of both roads, unless one
buys out the other, and in that case
neither would se’l unless the other
guaranteed tobuUd the road to Tltom-
asville at once.
“Thomnsvillo now has an a'l-rail
rate of 80 cents per barrel on pears to
New York, while from Tallahassee
the rate is $108. The rate from
Thomasville via Savannah steamer
is GO cents per bni rcl; from Talla-
hnssec it is 81 08. The comparison
of theso rates makes the people of
Leon county more anxious to secure
a road to Thomasvi'le, hence they
are taking stock in the Tallahassee
Northern.
Leon county, if it had an outlet
here, would rapidly grow rich from
the products of field, grove and gar
de i. The red hi'Nof old Leon would
yield up the'V dormant-wealth, while
uew industries would bo quickened
into existence, and an era of prosperi
ty would dnwn over that long neg
lected section, which would aston
ish the natives. Thomasville ami
Thomas county will cordially co-oper
ate in the movement.

When a person is sick they wish more

They are willing to taka even nauseous med

howevir. a first consideration is wlipthcr
the medicine is perfectly safe. WiF. it or
will it not leave any'evil after-effects?
Now, there is one remedy known to ha cer
