Atlanta, GA.,Oct. 16.—The down passenger train on the East Tennissee road was wrecked near Braswell about S o’clock this afternoon and several of the crew were badly hurt. Macon, Ga„ Oct. 15.—'The first trains on the new route between Ma con and Atlanta, via the Georgia Southern, the Macon and Burning hant and the Atlanta and Florida roads, were run to-day. The new schedule gives the direct connections between Macon and Atlanta, and is an important addition to the Central City’s already numerous railroad out lets. By the new route trains run from here to Sofkee, on the Georgia Southern, thence to Culloden on the Macon and Birmingham, and from Culloden to Atlanta on the Atlanta and Florida. The Weather Against the Expo sition. Atlanta, Oct. 16.—The exposition was practically suspended to-day so far as special features were concerned by the drenching weather. There was neither racing, fireworks nor nDy out of door attractions. A slender string of visitors wandered through the building, but there was no crowd.
