Gordon Gaining.
Atlanta, Ga., Nov. 12.—A bet
of 82.000 wnsoflered in the Kimball
house to—night on Gov. Gordon a elec
tion, and no takers. That illustrates
the situations. Col. Hammond to
day twice stated emphatically that he
was for Gov. Gordon and unalterably
opposed to the sub treasury, and could
not consistently make the race.
One liunded and seventeen legisla
tors attended the Gordon caucus to
day, and his total following is claimed
to be above that. A majotity of at
IcastS votes in the Senate.
The latest is that either Norwood
or Hines will he asked to make the
race. Calhoun and Hines both mnd
speeches on Wednesday night.
