Dr 0. W. Tompkins is having a handsome plate glass front put in his drug store, It will he one of the handsomest stores in town. Look out for the Farmers Band to day, and thou take in the entertain ment to-night. It is brimfull of fun and nothing to offend the tnoEt mo dest. Don’t mus "Si Perkins” to-night. Frank Jones is ouo ol the finest com edians on the stage, and there is a nat.- utal manner about his acting that always takes with the audience. At the Opera House To-Night. A fresh and amusing sort of come dy is that delineated by Frank .Tones’ “Si Perkins” company. The play is a study of country life in the back woods of West Virginia, and while there is nothing coarse or overdrawn in it, it is eflcctively humorous throughout. “Si Perkins” is one of the natives to the manor born, who, while being au eilcctivo camp meet ing howler and an expert fiddler, is an agent for threshing machines, who very effectively combines business with religion and pleasure. The cast introduces many other amusing characters, including a typi cal farmer band and the play is whole- same and entertaining throughout. The cornet aud violin selections in terpolated by Mr. Jones and Miss Alice Montague, as the pretty Gypsy, were difficult and well received.—San Antonio, Tex. Mr. Odom, of Colquitt. Ati.anta, Ga., Dec. 1st 1890. Mr. Editor: Among all the members of the house ot representatives there is not one man more punctual and vigilant and in all respects truer to his constituents than Hon. Mr. Odom. He legislates with au eye single to the welfare of the farmers and working classes. He is a member of several committees, ou all of which he makes a valuable member. He is quiet in his manners and very genial, which makes him popular with all h s colleague’. Turner. A Slight Delay. All ot the right of way tor the road from Tallahassee has not been secured on the Georgia end. Negotiations are going on with the owners of land through which the road will run. As soon ns the difficulties of securing all the right of way is removed the gen tlemen who are to build the road say the work will commence. There ought not to he any trouble, as the land through which the road will run will he greatly increased in value by the building of this road. Thomas- yillo and Thomas county should not sleep over this road. TAX NOTICE. For the benefit ot those who cannot get off during business hours, I will be in my office in Mr. S. A.
