Level-Headed Farmers.
Lansing, Mich., Dec. 13,—The
Michigan Grange is in open revolt
against the National Grange on ac
count of the stand taken by tho na
tional organization in indorsing the
proposition for government loans on
real estate. Before adjourning, the
following report was adopted: “We
regret that the National Grange, the
Farmers’ Alliance and other organiza.
tions of farmers have indorsed the pro
position, in oDe form or another, to
make loans by the government to the
people. That the issuing of 81,000,-
000,000 of treasury notes and loaning
it to the jigople, either directly or in
directly, at a lower rate of interest,
would lead to a wild clamor for cred
it, every intelligent person must ad
mit. That no system could be devised
or its operations so guarded as to pre
vent partiality and favoritism in its
distributing, first to personal friends
of tho loaning agent and next to his
political associates, every thoughtful
man must foresee. That it would
create a feeling of helpless dependen
cy upon government aid by those to
whom it is designed to benefit, there
by relaxing their- individual effort,
destroying their energy and telf-reli
nnco and rendering them helpless
mendicants of government charity,
every observer of human nature must
know. That it would lead to impro
vidence, relying upon government
aid or government forbearanco, by
those whom it seeks to benefit, and
prove a curse instead of a blessing, is
so plainly evident that wo are sur
prised that the National Grange
should allow itself to be carried away
by the clamor of those who have for
themselves public preferment by hold-'
ing out a scheme so enticing to the
ignorant or improvident debtors and
scheming speculators.

SIGKN" OF BIO- REDB
Lung Troubles, Rheumatism, Eto.
Frequently a person Is supposed to have
consumption when it is some other disease
altogether that is reducing his flesh nnd
making him look pale and thin,
J. W. Yates, Tullnhomn, Tenn., writes:
“It does me good to praise Botanic Blood
Balm. It cured me of an ahsess on the lungs
and asthma that troubled me two years nnd
that other remedies failed to benefit.’’
So you see it is sometimes well to try con
stitutional treatment. No remedy is so good
ns B. B. B. (Botanic Blool Balm) for re
building wasted tissue, and giving health to
every portion of the system reached by that
great circulation stream of life, the human
blood. Again, it is often supposed that
colds and exposure are tho only causes of
sciatica, rheumatism, etc. Such is always
the cases. It is frequently caused By impur
ities in the blood.
Price, Lutlsville, Mo., writes: “I was
afflicted with sciatica and had lost the uso
of one arm and one leg for nine years,
went to Hot Springs and nlso tried different
doctors^lmt found no cure until I tried Bot
anic Blood Balm. It made me sound nnd well.
I nm well known in this vicinit7.’’
Observe, even when tho renowned Hot
Springs failed, B. B. B. brought relief. Re
member, no matter what.blood remedy yon
have tried or intend to to, B. B. B, is the
only one that will giro you complcto satis
faction.
